Kingsland Printing is a Brooklyn based screen-printing and design studio founded by Sara Gates. In 2006, while studying for an MFA in Painting from Pratt Institute, she began making t-shirts for Troubleman Records and local bands — but her business quickly grew into something much more.

But this is not your average screen-printing studio — while t-shirts, posters and record covers all fall into Kingsland Printing’s repertoire, the ability to complete specialized, large-scale jobs, such as fabric yardage or onsite specialty printing is where Kingsland really sets itself apart. Clients are consulted every step of the way in this process, from design layout to ink choices, and all jobs are completed by hand with the utmost attention to detail.

Kingsland Printing’s devotion to enabling the independent artistic spirit of its peers is what this studio is all about. Whether a job is small or large, local or worldwide — it is treated as a creative collaboration between friends and tackled with the gusto and passion expected of such an alliance. Kingsland Printing doesn’t work for you, they work with you to make sure that your artistic vision is achieved — from something as simple as a t-shirt to something as staggering as a large-scale custom printed installation. Comprised of artists with backgrounds and experiences running the gamut, Kingsland Printing is able to understand and adapt to anything you can envision, limitations and fantasies alike.
